Enhanced Security Enabled [Terminal Server, 2003]
Hi Guys,
We have disabled Enhanced security configuration on our terminal server. However, it's still applying for some users. The registry key fix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933991) does not seem to work...
Suggestions?

Hello,
This has been a known issue for a while on Windows 2003 terminal server. This problem can occur if IEES (IE Enhanced Security) was not uninstalled before you install the Terminal Service role because some Registry keys are left in Registry and in the default
profile user hive that cause issues. So, although IEES is removed, new user profiles created on this Terminal Server still inherits these IEES related Registry keys from the default user profile.
Have you tried the Method 4 which is to rebuild a default profile for standard users? This has been a solid solution to this problem.
By the way, we have a sub-forum for Terminal Server related queries. You might want to post there is Method #4 does not help.

Thanks for this. I've bypassed the issue by forcing security settings through group policy. Mainly setting Internet Zone to Medium.
Thanks for the suggestion though, this was going to be the next step.
